The Nuggets are saying “bienvenidos” to their Spanish-speaking fans.
Starting with Friday’s game against the Raptors and continuing for the final 10 home games of the regular season, the Nuggets will have a Spanish-language broadcast that can be accessed via the team’s free app and the NBA app. Jena Garcia will handle the play-by-play with Mauricio Jaramillo providing color commentary.
“The Nuggets have a passionate and growing Latino fan base that we want to engage,” said Ron Chase, the Nuggets’ vice president of marketing, in a Kroenke Sports & Entertainment release. “These broadcasts will offer an accessible and culturally authentic game experience for Spanish-speaking fans across Denver and the broader NBA audience.”
There will also be 15-minute shows before and after the game. The broadcast will be produced by TICO Sports. Friday’s game doubles as “Somos Los Nuggets” night, a celebration of Colorado’s Hispanic history at Ball Arena.
“This launch with the Denver Nuggets is more than a broadcast — it’s a commitment to meeting fans where they are and how they experience the game,” Oscar Monterroso, co-founder and executive producer of TICO Sports, said in the release. “The Latino fan base is one of the fastest-growing forces in sports, and we’re proud to help bring Nuggets basketball to life in a way that is authentic, accessible and culturally connected.”
