John Fury, the father of famous boxer Tyson Fury, now lives a quiet and secluded lifestyle on his farm and says his relationship with his son has completely broken down. He himself was a boxer and fighter and has always followed his son by his side, but recently they have not agreed on many things.

The elder Fury lives a life far removed from Tyson’s fame and millions, as many would like to believe. He says he never needed his son’s money and built it himself.

The pair grew distant both physically and emotionally. His father advised him about his boxing career and lifestyle, but Tyson never listened.

“My relationship with Tyson is ruined. Boxing has completely ruined it. I’ll say it on camera. I’ve never gained 10 pounds in my life and I never will,” John Fury told Boxing Playbook.

“I don’t want his money and I don’t need Tyson’s money. Whatever he has, I wish him luck. But don’t forget who built his story when he was a kid. He didn’t build it himself, did he? Me, his father,” John said.

Tyson’s father was about to cry afterward. It was this sense of responsibility that hit him during the interview.

“I was 30 seconds away from asking for a break during this conversation. I haven’t expressed these emotions before, but they are strong and they are there,” he added.

Although he did not reveal the reason for this sad family story, it is closely linked to some actions in Tyson Fury’s boxing career. He says his son has not been the same since the trilogy of fights with Deontay Wilder.

“Tyson has been gone since he fought Deontay Wilder, they destroyed him. Wilder completely destroyed him. He has no legs left. Tyson took too much from him. Mahmud is a problem for Tyson. I’m the first to say this.”

“He put everything at risk. He even said himself, after everything, that he was ready to die there if it came to that. That was the mentality he had: ready to risk everything in the ring,” he concluded./Telegrafi/
