It appears that Scottie Scheffler isn’t just consistent in his scoring on the course, he’s consistent in everything. From his pre-round warm-ups to the tiny objects he carries in his pocket, the No. 1 player in the world builds his game on habits.
I get it. I’ve had my own lucky golf pencil that survived years in my bag. Lose it, and it’s like someone rearranged my furniture without asking. The story, shared on X by PGA Tour editor Sean Martin, drew the full spectrum of golf-fan reactions – from admiration (“outstanding role model”) to bemusement (“Pitch mark repairers. Fuck’s sake.”). Some hoped to snag one themselves at future events, others just wanted to see a photo.
It turns out even a $50 eBay find from a world number one can stir almost as much debate as a 320-yard drive.
