Real Madrid completed an emphatic 3-2 comeback against rivals Atlético to keep their bid for the LaLiga title alive, as they reduced the gap to four points behind Barcelona.
The Madrid derby was action-packed, as Ademola Lookman struck first for the visitors, before Vinícius Júnior‘s penalty kick levelled things in the 52nd minute.
Federico Valverde then struck Madrid’s second just three minutes after with a tidy side-foot finish to tilt the game back in the hosts’ favour.
Substitute Nahuel Molina’s thunderous strike from 25 yards levelled things again before Vinícius completed the turnaround to seal three valuable points at the Bernabéu.
Valverde was sent off late in the second half, but the hosts managed to hold out their lead to hand Diego Simeone’s men a sour defeat on his 50th game in charge of this derby.
