Pedestrian injured after woman falls from Melbourne building

A pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries, after being struck by a woman who fell from the building above him in Melbourne’s CBD.

Ambulance Victoria was called to a scene on William Street about 11:55am today.

A woman, who is yet to be identified, was found dead at the scene.

Police said the woman appeared to have fallen onto the man on the street below.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was transported by ambulance to Royal Melbourne Hospital with upper body injuries.

The woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

Victoria Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
