DICKSON, Tn. – Bellarmine men’s golf wrapped up another two days of competition on Tuesday, this time at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate.
Playing at GreyStone Golf Club in a field of 16 teams, the Knights finished in 15th at 54-over par. Despite the finish, the Knights turned in some impressive performances on the course.
Freshman Landon Stillwell turned in the low-round of the event for Bellarmine with a career-low tying 69 in the third round. Overall, Stillwell finished 44th at plus-nine after rounds of 77-79-69.
Sophomore Ben Davenport was the low finisher for BU, placing 38th with a plus-seven tournament. Davenport fired three straight rounds in the 70s, turning in cards for 74-78-71.
Jacksonville State topped the team leaderboard with an impressive 15-under par display. UT Martin was a close second, finishing at 13-under par.
Jacksonville State’s Will Drake and UT Martin’s Grant Phillips shared the individual champion honors with an eight-under par finish. Drake opened play with a four-over 76 in round four before turning in back-to-back rounds of six-under 66. Phillips played under par golf in all three rounds, recording scores of 71-68-71.
