Tonight’s Atlanta Braves 2026 season opener comes with an array of firsts. The game against the Kansas City Royals represents the first with Walt Weiss as the new manager, plus a bunch of new stadium features and upgrades for fans. One of the headlining new offerings comes courtesy of Delta Air Lines, which just announced an extension of the brand’s partnerships with Braves through 2035. SkyMiles members with existing game tickets can enjoy “pre-boarding” at Truist Park to get early entry into Friday home games. They’ll head straight into the outfield seating bowl to watch batting practice before the general public. “This perk is about celebrating SkyMiles Members in a way that feels unmistakably Atlanta,” says Emmakate Young, Head of Global Partnership Marketing at Delta.
Here are some of the other new features to expect when cheering on Atlanta’s hometown MLB team at Truist Park.
Tech-savvy
Fans will notice major upgrades to the LED screens, including enhanced displays in the Blue Moon Beer Garden and Outfield Market, a new centerfield video board, and updated ticker ribbons on the 400 level so fans can stay current on scores from around the league. The stadium has added theatrical lights to enhance nighttime games, with colored flood lights and intelligent lighting to project logos and textures on the field.

Food-forward
This season, Delaware North, Truist Park’s hospitality partner, is introducing a host of new menu items. Some new favorites to look for include Peach Dingers (egg rolls filled with peach cobbler and caramel), the A-Town Melt (a spicy chicken melt with cheese fondue), the Bat Flip (toasted brioche with two pounds of beef patties, braised short rib, and crispy pork belly), and the Low Country Crunch (coconut-crusted jumbo shrimp). This year, the stadium will also introduce offerings from local Atlanta brands Bell Street Burritos and Vice Steak Bar, as well as an expansion of Fred’s Meat & Bread into a larger space inside the Chop House Gate. A continuing partnership with Giving Kitchen means that the nonprofit’s stall in the Outfield Market will feature a rotating roster of local chefs (the first month is the team from Bovino After Dark).
First-class seat upgrade
During the game, fans can take part in a live trivia feature. If they answer correctly and quickly, they could be selected for a surprise seat upgrade into premium seating, courtesy of Delta Air Lines. Participation happens right in the stadium through the game‑day experience and no advance sign‑up required. Upgrading the fan experience felt like the perfect way to celebrate a long partnership between Atlanta’s hometown team and its hometown airline. “The Braves have been part of the city’s heartbeat for nearly 60 years, and Delta’s relationship with the team dates back just as far,” Young says.

Walk through Braves history
Fans can experience the 60-Year Anniversary Collection, a museum-like walkthrough experience celebrating the team’s 1966 move to Atlanta. Located in the Monument Garden, the exhibit features six displays—one for each decade—with artifacts including Hank Aaron’s 715 “I Was There” certificate, the knee brace Sid Bream wore to slide across home base (to send the Braves to the 1992 World Series), Andruw Jones’s 2000s jersey, and more.
A place to play
In the 2025 season, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta introduced a 30,000-square-foot place space for kids of all ages. This summer, Children’s will add a soft play area in vibrant, kid-friendly colors designed for the littlest fans.
Launching pad
For the 2026 season, Truist Park will welcome the Launching Pad, a group hospitality area positioned at left field. It features premium bridge seating for up to 32 and six new open-air boxes above sections 147 and 149.

Nursing lounge
The existing Northside Hospital Nursing Lounge (located between Section 141 and the Left Field Gate) has gotten a complete renovation. The space, designed to provide a safe, comfortable place for moms to nurse or feed their babies, supports nearly 2,000 mothers each season.
Smoke-free stadium
Guests may not know that, as of 2025, Truist Park became a fully smoke-free facility, having removed the designated smoking area at the Third Base Gate. Leave the cigarettes at home.
