Hollywoodbets Sharks return to Durban for another pivotal URC clash, this time hosting Cardiff Rugby at Kings Park with both sides chasing consistency as the playoff race intensifies. The Sharks come off a strong result in their previous outing and will look to maintain momentum at home, while Cardiff aims to respond after a narrow defeat.
Cardiff head coach Corniel van Zyl acknowledged how fine the margins have been for his side, emphasizing both the preparation and the challenge ahead against a physical Sharks team.
“We were disappointed with last weekend’s defeat to the Bulls and just felt we were one or two seconds, or one or two metres off it,” he said.
Van Zyl pointed to the need for improvement and execution against a well-rounded opponent.
“There is no question that the Sharks are a quality team,” he said. “They have an all-round game built on a solid set-piece and physicality up front, with some top-class backs behind.”
With both teams understanding the stakes, the contest is expected to be a physical and tactical battle throughout.
