WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Boston College men’s tennis team (4-12, 0-10 ACC) fell 4-0 to Notre Dame (19-4, 8-2 ACC) on Sunday afternoon at the Weymouth Club.
 
The Fighting Irish started strong taking the doubles point with wins in doubles No. 2 and No. 1. Lukas Rais and Luke Levanat’s match remained unfinished at 2-4.
 
Notre Dame sealed the match with three straight-set singles victories. At the time of the clinch, there were three matches that remained unfinished. Mai Gao posted a 6-4 first set victory against his opponent before leaving the next set unfinished at 2-3. Matthew Overvelde fought hard during a tight first set, narrowly dropping it 7-5 before taking the lead, 3-1, in the next set before the match stopped. Aidan Pack dropped his first set but tied up the second, 4-4, before the match remained unfinished.
 
The Eagles celebrated senior day on Sunday, honoring three Eagles: Aidan Pack, James Cockrell and Mai Gao.
