CHAMPION, Mich. (WLUC) – Golfers putted Sunday morning to support the Home Builders Association.
The HBA held its 34th annual golf outing at the Wawonowin Country Club. Twenty-nine teams played an 18-hole golf scramble to raise donations for the association.
HBA CEO Sarah Foster says the fundraiser usually raises $5,000 to $10,000. The funds go toward the nonprofit for general operations and its mission to make housing attainable.
“We have a housing shortage, and the more we can do to fight and get those laws changed and those rules made that keep housing affordable for builders and homeowners is very important,” Foster said.
