Status report

Neither team was to hold a morning skate on Saturday. … McBain, a forward, left in the second period of a 6-2 win at the Seattle Kraken on Thursday and did not practice Friday, but coach Andre Tourigny did not have an update on his status. … It was unclear who would replace McBain as the third-line center if he can’t play. It could be Rooney, a center called up from Tucson of the American Hockey League on Friday. Kerfoot is a possibility to move up from fourth-line left wing to center, with either Rooney or O’Brien, who has been a healthy scratch the past 18 games, taking his place on the fourth line. … Vancouver did not practice Friday. Mancini, a defenseman who was scratched the past two games, could come into the lineup for Joseph or defenseman Elias Pettersson. Hoglander, a forward who also was a healthy scratch in a 5-2 loss at the Minnesota Wild on Thursday, could return in place of Raty or Mueller, who made his season debut Thursday.
