Torquay Cricket Club is calling for expressions of interest to help lead the club’s next wave of success on and off the field.
The club is looking for a new senior men’s coach, with all eyes on climbing the ladder in 2026-27.
Torquay endured a tough season in the Geelong Cricket Assocation (GCA) 2 1st XI in 2025-26, winning two games and losing 10.
The club will regain access to its home deck next summer at Spring Creek Reserve next summer, which will boast a redeveloped oval and turf wicket space the equal of any in the Geelong region.
With a strong base of established First XI players and an emerging group of talented youngsters, the new senior coach will have much to
work with.
Tigers spokesperson Blake Chadwick said the club had a clear vision to find a strong leader to jump on board.
“We have a very large junior program, which is the foundation of a sustainable and successful club,”
he said.
“This is a great chance for an experienced cricket coach or someone looking to start their coaching journey to take the reins of a proud, well established club with great support in the local community.”
Torquay is the only turf cricket club on the Surf Coast.
The club is happy to receive expressions of interest from potential playing or non-playing coaches, with remuneration negotiable and support available to attain coaching qualifications.
Anyone interested in a discussion can email [email protected] or phone Blake Chadwick on 0468 992 610.
The club is also actively recruiting for next season and welcomes contact from men’s and women’s players interested in a discussion about joining.
