Victoria West is sending several athletes to regionals after an elite performance at District.

VICTORIA, Texas -Amid a busy spring sports season across the Crossroads, the Victoria West High School tennis team is making its mark with a strong showing at the District 22-5A tournament.
Leading the way was Taneesha Devi, who captured the district championship in girls singles. With the first-place finish, Devi advances to the regional tournament, continuing an impressive season on the court.
Victoria West also saw success in doubles competition. The boys doubles team of Karan Chand and Zane Ramirez secured a second-place finish, earning a spot at regionals.
In mixed doubles, Merrin Heinold and John Mullin added to the team’s success with a third-place finish.
With three podium finishes at the district meet, Victoria West continues to showcase the depth of talent in its tennis program as the postseason gets underway.
