Attorney-General Michelle Rowland says she is considering ways to adapt the copyright system to encourage investment in artificial intelligence while balancing the need for rights holders to be fairly compensated.
Rowland on Monday repeated the Albanese government’s position it would not water down copyright laws to allow AI labs to train their models using Australian data, but left the door open to other changes.
