After a little over two months, Stephen Curry returned to action. Sure, it was a 117-116 loss against the Houston Rockets but there were a lot of positives. One of them was that the superstar guard looked very ready to play large minutes in the NBA Playoffs. Coach Steve Kerr was even hyped after seeing the legendary sharpshooter back on the court.

Curry’s return fuels Warriors NBA Playoffs hype

In all honesty, the Warriors have not been looking good in this lead up to the postseason. They have lost four-straight games. To make matters even more worse, Coach Kerr has only led this team to three wins in the last 10 games. So, the Warriors needed a spark plug and Curry came back just in time.

Against the Rockets, he put up 29 points after coming off the bench and playing 26 minutes. A lot of their offense still came from the Warriors superstar. He knocked down 52% of his shots from the field while also going 50% from beyond the arc. Not to mention, Curry also dropped four assists to keep their momentum going.

Coach Kerr was in awe of how fast his star player got their groove back. He even urged Warriors fans to get excited for their upcoming NBA Playoffs run, via Nick Friedell of The Athletic.

“You can just feel it. We’re back in the mix. We’re back in the fight with Steph and that’s a hell of a team, they’ve been really hot lately, and fully healthy, and we took them down to the last shot,” the Warriors head coach declared.

As of the moment, the Warriors still have four more games in their schedule before the NBA Play-In Tournament starts. The matchups are likely locked in and it looks like the Curry-led squad will have to face the Portland Trail Blazers to keep their NBA Playoffs hopes alive. Will this statement from Kerr ring true when the bright lights and high intensity kick in?
