The dust could reach various parts of the country, making the sky cloudier and more yellowish. The dust concentration is expected to peak on Thursday, 9 April, mainly in the south of the country.

The Meteored website explains that dust in Portugal could be due to the current depression west of mainland Portugal. The atmospheric phenomenon may bring dust particles to the national territory. Although the South may be the most affected region, dust is expected to also transit to areas in the central zone of mainland Portugal.

The dust particles did not arrive in Portugal in a linear fashion, and their peak is expected on Thursday, with the possibility of affecting a large part of the national territory.
