A teenager has died after crashing his bicycle while riding at Canberra’s Stromlo Forest Park.

Police said the 14-year-old boy came off his bike at about 2:40pm on Saturday.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later died.

“The area is being considered as a road related area as Stromlo Forest Park is open to the public and designated for use by cyclists,” an ACT Policing statement said.

As a result, police said the teen’s death brought the ACT’s road toll for 2026 to eight.
