Fans can see the world of Dunder Mifflin through fresh eyes with 170 episodes from Seasons 1 to 8 offering 28 hours, 55 minutes and 20 seconds of extra footage of the show’s classic instalments.

And this month Peacock released the 9th and final season of The Office: Superfan Episodes for Aussie audiences, adding another 25 episodes for your viewing pleasure.

The extra material provides additional context and character arcs that deepen the storylines and backstories of Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell) and co amid their dysfunctional corporate world. New storylines are even discovered in some episodes as the never-before-seen footage come to light.

With plot points fleshed out and jokes given more time to shine, this creates a more enjoyable experience for fans, reminding them why The Office – which also stars John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fischer – remains one of TV’s greatest ever workplace comedies.

“There’s so many scenes where I’m like, ‘This is so funny, why the f**k did this not make the original airing,’” one commented on YouTube under a compilation of Season 9’s deleted scenes.

“It’s crazy how much funnier the deleted scenes are than most of the show,” another agreed.

“HOWWWW was this not in the final cut” one fan wondered.

“The office posting clips unseen 10 years later is greatly appreciated,” yet another wrote.

One deleted scene from Season 9 features musician Creed Bratton, who portrays a fictionalised version of himself on the show, initially being accused of bullying at a workplace bullying conference.

He is called out for consistently staring at a co-worker’s breasts, which he denies before claiming he was only at the freckles on her chest because it resembled “crumbs of carrot cake”.

Quickly enough, Creed goes from bully to victim as the whole office gangs up on him, leading him to cry alone in the stairwell.

This scene does not feature in the original episode causing many to wonder at the time why he uttered the line, “I laughed and I cried” when the crying scene did not go to air.

The Office is a remake of the British series of the same name that stars Ricky Gervais. Like the UK version, the US offering has won countless awards, including five Emmys, during its run from 2005 to 2013.

In Australia, The Office is one of the top 5 most-watched series of all time with BINGE reporting that Aussies have streamed nearly 10 million hours of the series.
