Nathan Cleary has reportedly been offered a monster deal to leave the NRL.

Ahead of his 200th game in the competition on Thursday night, Cleary has reportedly been offered a four-year, $1.9m-a-season deal to move to England and play for Hull KR in the Super League.

Cleary has long been linked with a move to the UK to be closer to partner Mary Fowler, who plays for Manchester City in the WSL.

Hull is a two-hour drive east of Manchester.

Balmain legend Benny Elias said he’d been fed the information by former Hull halfback Garry Schofield.

“He says that Nathan Cleary has been offered one million pounds a year for four years at Hull,” Elias said on Fox Sports’ NRL 360.

“That is big, big bucks. He’s certainly setting the level way up here.”

According to English publication Love Rugby League, Hull made an informal offer earlier in the year, and it had not been revisited since.

Cleary’s management has been contacted for comment.

Signed with the Panthers until the end of 2027, Cleary will become a free agent on November 1 unless he signs an extension before then.

The 28-year-old told media ahead of round four he “wasn’t going to close off any avenues”.

Cleary is being paid an estimated $1.2m a season at the Panthers. He has also been linked with a tax-free move to the PNG Chiefs in 2028, as well as to rugby union.

A fortnight ago, Cleary said he was yet to make any decision on his future, but could consider “fast-tracking” an extension to quieten the noise.

“I don’t think I’ve ever announced it [going on the market],” he said.

“I’m at the stage now where I’m like, there’s no point even talking about it.

“I’m still contracted here for two years and it feels like such a long time for me. It hasn’t been a discussion, I just said I wasn’t gonna close off any avenues.

“It’s come pretty early – maybe it’s something that needs to be fast-tracked.”

Cleary’s unbeaten Panthers face the struggling Bulldogs on Thursday night.
