The team didn’t bring another run home until the bottom of the ninth when Jesús Sánchez connected with a pitch and sent it to right center for a two-run homer, his second of the season. Eric Lauer got the start on Saturday and, subsequently, the loss after throwing for 5.1 innings and giving up all seven earned runs. He struck out three during his time on the mound.

On Sunday afternoon, the Twins will look to right-handed pitcher Taj Bradley, who is currently 2-0 on the season with an ERA of 1.08 and 22 strikeouts. The Blue Jays will use righty Max Scherzer, who is 1-1 with an ERA of 3.38 and has six strikeouts.
