Australian tennis star Bernard Tomic and partner Keely Hannah have quietly welcomed their first child together.

Hannah revealed via Instagram that the pair had become parents a week ago, marking the milestone with a series of sweet snaps of the newborn bub.

“The most beautiful secret we’ve ever kept; Astara Aurelia Tomic. 05.04.2026,” Hannah wrote, unveiling their baby girl’s notably unique name.

The photos featured in the post showed Astara snoozing in her crib, cosied up snugly in an adorable cream knit onesie with matching socks.

The pregnancy was kept completely under wraps over the past nine months, with no indication of the happy news to be found anywhere on either of the new parents’ social media accounts.

The couple, who have been together since 2022, have previously drawn negative press following an awkward mid-match dispute during the 2024 ATP Challenger tour.

The public spat, which occurred during Tomic’s match with Yuta Shimizu in Arkansas, appeared to be regarding Hannah’s choice to attend the event after testing positive for COVID-19.

”Bernard and his girlfriend just continuing to argue,” the ATP Challengers commentator said at the time, per Tennis World USA.

“The long and short of it [was] Bernie saying, ‘You tested positive for COVID today’, [and his] girlfriend saying, ‘No, that was two weeks ago'”.

Tomic, 33, was once ranked as high as 17 in the world, and has been fighting to get back within the top 100 since.

Once considered the golden boy of Australian tennis, the controversial athlete’s career has been rife with legal issues – from alleged altercations with fans to accusations of ‘tanking’ during events.

In spite of this, Tomic is attempting to turn over a new leaf, continuing his efforts throughout the Challenger and ITF tours respectively.

The ace is aiming to improve his ranking after reportedly “leaving the sport mentally” at several points over previous years.
