The Devil Wears Prada 2 doesn’t arrive in theaters until May, but the world premiere of the highly anticipated sequel will be available to stream several days beforehand.
Disney just announced that The Devil Wears Prada 2 world premiere will be available to live stream on Disney+ and Hulu on Monday, April 20, 2026, with fans around the world being given the opportunity to see the stars and filmmakers walk the red carpet.
The world premiere event will be held at Lincoln Center in New York City, with the live stream starting at 5:30 p.m. EDT / 2:30 p.m. PDT. For subscribers who can’t tune in live, Disney+ and Hulu will offer a replay afterward.
Cast members expected to walk the red carpet include Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon and Helen J. Shen. Director David Frankel, who also helmed the original 2006 film, will be in attendance, as will screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna and other members of the creative team.
Disney has teased that the red carpet will feature several jaw-dropping fashion moments and plenty of glitz and glamour to keep viewers tuned in from start to finish.
The Devil Wears Prada became a pop culture phenomenon when it was released back in 2006. Adapted from Lauren Weisberger’s novel of the same name, the film grossed $326 million at the box office and earned a Certified Fresh score of 75% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
The story centers on Hathaway’s character, Andy Sachs, as she deals with the grueling reality of working at Runway magazine under the supervision of her boss Miranda Priestly, played by Streep, who won a Golden Globe for her role.
The actress was also nominated at the Oscars, and the film itself landed a Golden Globe nod for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.
Now, 20 years later, Hathaway, Streep, Blunt and Tucci are back for the much-hyped sequel. Other cast members in the Devil Wears Prada sequel include Branagh, Ashley, Hearon, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, B.J. Novak, Rachel Bloom and Lady Gaga, who recorded an original song called “Runway” with Doechii that will be featured in the film.
The single was recently released after being featured in the final trailer.
The upcoming movie will see Andy reuniting with Miranda and Emily Charlton after technological innovations have upended the industry in major ways, including at Runway.
Ever since the record-breaking teaser trailer was released in late 2025, anticipation has been building for The Devil Wears Prada 2, which is on track to gross at least $66 million on opening weekend.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be released in theaters on Friday, May 1, 2026.
