KIIS 1023’s Ben & Liam conquer their first major radio challenge with Gather Round-A-Thon

KIIS 1023 Adelaide Breakfast duo Ben & Liam have achieved a radio first, having successfully completed their Gather Round‑A‑Thon.

Their mission? To go to ALL nine AFL Gather Round games over the weekend.

There was a catch, though. The boys had to take a different mode of transport to each match, finish a pie and drink an iced coffee at every game, and witness a goal before they departed for the next one.

The last leg was 66 kilometres on a tandem bicycle from the Barossa to Adelaide Oval for the Port Adelaide v St Kilda game.

Their other transport modes included hitchhiking, buses, parachutes and helicopters.

“Wooooo!!!! Did we make it? You bet your arse we did it!” Ben and Liam said. “Two men, nine  games of footy, nine litres of milk, 18 pies and 210 kilometres travelled!”
