PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — After a 10 year hiatus, the Philadelphia Cycling Classic is back.
A celebration for the big event happening this summer was held in our 6abc lobby on Tuesday.
Former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter was here for the ceremony.
He played a big role is getting the race up and running again.
The Philadelphia Cycling Classic is a 14.4 mile circuit race.
It’s set for August 30.
The event is being presented by AmeriGas.
