JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The first day of the 2026Â Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men’s Tennis Championship saw Austin Peay and Abilene Christian earn its first tournament wins in program history.Â

Austin Peay claimed the Doubles point on Court 2 when Glen Arnet and Lucas Ranicaro defeated Bellarmine’s Colby Berson and Matthew Nice. The Governors claimed Court 3 in a straight set 6-1,6-4 fashion before the Knights’ Ryan Parkins and Colby Berson defeated their opponents on the fourth and sixth courts to tie the contest at two points each. Austin Peay’s Felipe De La Hormaza and Bellarmine’s Nice earned the points on their respective courts before the Governors sealed the match with Vincent Lu’s three-set victory on Court 2. The Governors advance to Wednesday’s Quarterfinals to take on top-seeded North Florida at 9 AM ET.Â

In its first season as an affiliate member, Abielen Christian swept Queens to advance to the Quarterfinals. ACU’s Tomas Quesada and Luis Jose Nakamine defeated Queens’Â Tanner Cooley and Alex Morris to clinch the Doubles point for the Wildcats. Jorge Aza defeated Gavin Ryan in straight-set fashion on Court 5Â to claim the first Singles point for Abilene Christian before Quesada claimed the third point of the match on Court 2. Ethan Scribner defeated Cooley on the sixth court to secure the sweep for the Wildcats. ACU advances to Wednesday’s Quarterfinal to faceoff against the No. 2 seed, North Alabama.Â
