KODY Garland has become a brand ambassador of Aussie Racing Cars’ naming rights sponsor in the latest twist following a dramatic Bathurst.
Battery World has this week announced a direct tie-up with Garland, who won the 2025 Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series crown, for its automotive campaign.
The timing is intriguing, after tensions boiled over at the recent season-opener, resulting in Garland departing the race meeting (whether he was sent home or withdrew depends on which party you listen to).
Either way, Garland is no certainty to return to the category, which will next hit the track in support of the Tasmania Super440 in May.
“Kody is a champion who backs himself, works harder than anyone, and demands the best from every piece of equipment he runs,” said Battery World general manager Johnny Kennedy.
“Our locally owned stores have been supporting Aussies with expert battery advice for nearly 30 years.
“Backing Kody as our ambassador is a natural fit for who we are and what we stand for.”
Garland will pair up with Ayrton Hodson for the upcoming TA2 Tag Team Enduro at Queensland Raceway.
