Hollywood actor and film maker Alec Baldwin visited a local Sydney pharmacy in the beachside suburb of Manly this afternoon.
Staff members and customers alike at Malouf Manly Pharmacy were shocked by the A-listers’ surprise appearance around 3pm Thursday afternoon.
Scarlett, 18, who has worked at the store for four years, told Yahoo Lifestyle she didn’t notice the 68-year-old actor at first.
“I honestly didn’t recognise him … then he goes, ‘Oh, I’m Alec Baldwin’. Then took some photos with everyone, I think he just bought water,” she said.
“He came back about 10 minutes later because he forgot his bag here.”

Jogi, one of the store’s pharmacists, served Alec when he came to the counter to order a prescription.
“I knew it was him … he was very lovely. Very down to earth and nice,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle.
The Hollywood actor took the time to stop and take photos with customers and staff but didn’t stay long.
He didn’t disclose why he was in Sydney.
Baldwin this week disclosed that he was planning to make his break from acting permanent following the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film Rust.

Baldwin was cleared of involuntary manslaughter charges in 2024.
The father of seven told The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast that he spent a lot of time at home during the ordeal and “got used to it”.
“I don’t want to leave my house anymore. I don’t,” he said.
“‘I don’t want to work anymore … I really don’t. I want to retire and stay home with my kids.”
