Statistically speaking, there has never been a father-son duo as accomplished in NBA history as LeBron and Bronny James.
Much of that falls upon the former. LeBron James is the most decorated player in league history, producing more points, field goals, free throws, minutes, All-Star appearances and All-NBA selections in NBA history.
Bronny’s record is far less glistening. As of April 16, 2026, Bronny has a little less than 200 points to his name.
Despite this, Bronny remains one of the league’s most fascinating players. His relationship with his father is perhaps the largest reason why; there are moments when the younger James resembles his father, particularly when he’s taking flight.
So, just what are the best James-James moments in recent memory? The Sporting News takes a look back at LeBron and Bronny’s grandest interactions, from the latter’s debut to more recent appearances alongside his famous father.

There was some doubts over Bronny’s NBA credentials when the Lakers selected him No. 55 overall in the 2024 NBA Draft. He had played sparingly during his time at USC, having to bide his time after collapsing and suffering cardiac arrest caused by a congenital heart defect ahead of his freshman year.
Ultimately, the prospect of playing in the league — and playing with his father — proved too alluring to Bronny. He was summarily snapped up by Los Angeles, who rolled out the red carpet for him ahead of its season-opener against the Timberwolves.
On Oct. 22, 2024, James made his debut, checking into the game alongside his father in a moving — if somewhat contrived — moment.

The James family watched on from the sideline, relishing in Bronny’s three-minute stint in the contest. Both Bronny and his father reflected on the importance of the appearance during an interview with Taylor Rooks conducted during the game.
“I’m just extremely grateful for everything,” Bronny said. “I was given an amazing opportunity to come in this league and get better every day and learn every day. So yeah, I’m just extremely grateful.”

Bronny, LeBron link up for NBA’s first ever father-son assist
It took some time for Bronny and his father to get going. While the latter was cementing his place on the NBA’s all-time scoring and appearance marks, the former was circumnavigating across the professional ranks, straddling between NBA hopeful and G-League regular.
Towards the end of his sophomore season, Bronny began to play a more prominent role in the Lakers’ lineup. Long-term injuries to Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves set the stage for Bronny to contribute on a more consistent basis. He did just that during the Lakers’ March 28 win over the Nets, corralling a whipped pass from his father before sinking a three.
The trifecta proved historic; the NBA recognized the basket as the first father-son assist in league history.

Bronny returns favor, assists LeBron in first father-son assist in league history
Never one to forget his roots, Bronny found his father with a delicate bounce pass in the Lakers’ April 9 win over the Warriors. The elder James slammed his effort through the target, etching the moment into basketball lore as the first son-father assist in league history.

Not all of Bronny and LeBron’s on-court moments have been highlights. Some have garnered interested simply for depicting the dynamics between a son and his loving father attempting to find success and staying power in professional sports.
Midway through the third quarter of Los Angeles’ April 5 tilt against the Mavericks, Bronny attempted to find his father with a lofted entry pass. The errant effort was subsequently swatted away by Marvin Bagley Jr., leading to a Lakers inbound pass. No harm, no foul, right?

LeBron took his son to the side, explaining that the entry pass should have been delivered on the ground, not in the air. It was an insightful moment for Bronny — and for the millions watching on in television sets.

As time has gone on, Bronny has grown more confident in his abilities. He has slowly carved out a steady — if unspectacular — role in JJ Redick’s lineup, taking on increased responsibilities as Doncic and Reaves licked their wounds on the sideline.
When the Lakers dueled the Suns on April 10, Bronny’s improved skillset resurfaced. Leading big in the game’s waning moments, Bronny entered the game. He proceeded to splash a trifecta from just inside the logo, producing raptures not just from the Los Angeles faithful, but his own father, too.
