It’s hard to believe that we’re already on the cusp of the second and final Bieberchella performance. Justin Bieber, who made his debut as a Coachella headliner last Saturday, sent the internet into a frenzy and his older tracks back onto the charts, thanks to his buzzworthy performance.

Clocking in at 90 minutes, Bieber kept things laid-back and casual on a minimalist if curvaceous stage — serenading fans with buttery-smooth vocals.

While he played a slew of tracks from his two latest albums, Swag and Swag II, released last year, one part of his show left his viewers divided. Honoring his deep cuts like “Baby,” “Beauty and a Beat,” and “That Should Be Me,” Bieber sat down in front of his MacBook, where he played and sang along with old YouTube videos — everything from his music videos to his own song covers to his most memed paparazzi moment.

The YouTube part of Bieber’s set struck a chord with fans who’ve been with him since the beginning.

“I know that many wanted dancers and a mega production, but I’m delighted with how poetic it is to see Justin Bieber singing some of his older songs solo, with just a microphone, and his YouTube videos,” an X user wrote.

Another added, “Not only does he reclaim his own story after everything that happened as a child star, but he also reminds us that the culture of YouTube music was forged around him.”
