Result: Wheeler Motor Company Canterbury Rams (111) defeat Mills Albert Wellington Saints (89)
After a dominant showing against the Jets, the Mills Albert Wellington Saints would be a tough team to tame for the Rams who just came off a scrappy win against the Nelson Giants last week. With a week of training under their belt, they put that time to use and developed exponentially. The reigning champions looked lost on defence as Taylor Britt did what he want and capaitlised on every gap the Saints were leaving. Tamerang Choh also produced at a high level compared to his first game of the season. The energy at the Rams’ new home court provided and Canterbury would smother the Saints, never giving them a glance at a win. Five Rams played would finish with 15+ points, with Choh leading the way with 28. Britt chipped in 8 assists to bring his season average up to 8.5. The floor general showcasing his ability.
