For the very first time, Dutch psych-disco-rock funksters YĪN YĪN will tour Australia.

The band, responsible for such grooving numbers like ‘One Inch Punch’ and ‘Pingpxng’, will headline concerts in Sydney, Brisbane and Northern Rivers this November, with more shows to be announced.

The quartet from Maastricht recently released their fourth studio album, ‘Yatta!’, a recored that leans into Italo disco textures, warped guitar lines and club-ready rhythms, while still offering moments for deeper, more introspective listening. Heads up fans of Parcels and Babe Rainbow.

“Finally, our new album ‘Yatta!’ is out,” the band posted in January. “We are so happy to finally share it with you all.

“We started working on it about a year ago and really wanted to head into a new direction while still retaining the classic YĪN YĪN DNA.

“Heading into a real studio, recording on tape and playing the basis of all songs live were all firsts for us. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we had in making it. We put a lot of love in this!”

Fresh from a run of French and UK shows this month, over the past few years YĪN YĪN have earned a reputation as an essential live act, consistently playing to packed venues across Europe, Asia, and the US as well as playing Fuji Rock Festival and North Sea Jazz Festival.

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 24 April.
