ECAC Announces Flag Football Player Awards for Week Ending April 19
Danbury, Conn.- The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announces Flag Football Player Awards for Week Ending April 19.
Offensive Player of the Week-
Kira Green, Quarterback, Eastern University, So (on the left)
Kira totaled 706 passing yards, threw 8 touchdown passes, and added 8 touchdowns of her own, showcasing her ability to take over games in multiple ways. From the quarterback position, Kira commanded the offense with confidence and precision, consistently moving the ball and creating scoring opportunities. Her ability to read defenses and deliver accurate throws led to explosive plays through the air, while her playmaking ability allowed her to finish drives herself when needed.
Defensive Player of the Week-
Mani Boyd, Rusher, Long Island University, So, (on the right)
Mani single handedly dominated on the defensive front with 20 sacks in 3 games. She deflected a pass rushing the QB that landed in another LIU player’s hands which resulted in a game winning TD return. Leading LIU to 3 wins!
