A pair of newlyweds were lost for words when the groom experienced an awkward mishap soon after exchanging their vows.
George Philip and his beautiful bride Molly, from Sydney, tied the knot on April 10 at the stunning heritage-listed Elizabeth Bay House at Potts Point.
But while taking their wedding photos in between the ceremony and reception, the 29-year-old groom had an embarrassing moment when he lifted his bride off her feet.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, George said his pants ripped from the waistband all the way down to his hamstrings.
“The noise of the rip was so loud… I was just in absolute shock,” he said.

But the groom explained why he was happy it occurred during the photos.
“The penultimate moment of our first dance was me lifting Molly up,” he said.
“I was thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, thank God it happened now not during our first dance with everyone watching’, which also would’ve been hilarious.”
A now-viral video captured the moment the pants tore after George crouched down to pick Molly up.
“Oh, are [the pants] falling down?” the photographer replied.

“No, I think they’ve ripped,” Molly replied.
While most people would feel embarrassed by the unexpected moment, George said he wasn’t.
“I’m not one to be very shy or self-conscious,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle.
“Even after it happened, the whole time, I was saying to everyone that was offering their pants, ‘Guys, don’t worry about it. It’s honestly not an issue. It’s hilarious’.
“If this is the worst thing that happens on my wedding day, it’s all pretty good.”
What happened after the pants ripped?
The photographer and content creator tried to source a sewing kit as quick as possible while also seeing if any guests would swap pants with George.
He found a match with someone with the same sized waist as him, but the length wasn’t quite right.
So the 29-year-old soldiered on with his ripped pair.
“We walked into the reception, sat down, had our entrees, all still with the split pants. I still had my jacket on, so it was covering part of it. A lot of people didn’t know the pants were ripped,” he said.
While George was open to wearing the trousers for the rest of the day, a friend “saved the day”.
“He was very persistent and was like, ‘George, I live 300 meters away. It’ll take me five minutes to walk there and back. I’ve got numerous old pairs of black suit pants, I’ll go grab them and come back,” George said.
So his friend left, came back and gave the groom another pair of pants to wear for the rest of the night which fit well.
George’s video has since exceeded a staggering 9.2 million views and received more than 2,200 comments, which also surprised the couple.
“It was at this point he realised blue was a terrible choice,” one person wrote.
“That man is STRESSED,” another said.
“Not the gender reveal I expected,” a third added.
The groom’s one piece of advice to others getting married is to wear black underwear.
“It seems so ridiculous people paying attention to me, the guy who split his pants, when Molly is wearing this unbelievable designer dress. But the comments are hilarious,” George said.
