After weeks of romance rumours swirling, fans are counting down the days until hot new couple Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi finally “hard launch” their relationship for the cameras.
But to those in their inner circle, the romance is already old news.
Reality star-turned-supermodel Jenner, 30, and Wuthering Heights actor Elordi, 28, made headlines last week when they were spotted making out at Coachella, some claiming the two were “all over each other.”
According to pals, the public makeout session has been a long time coming because the two have been secretly dating for around two months.
“They have been together for a couple of months already, and it’s going well,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“They were an item as far back as early February, so it’s been a while. It helps that they have both been in Los Angeles a lot for the past couple of months, it has really given them time to bond.”
Jacob split from girlfriend of four years, influencer Olivia Jade Giannulli, in August 2025 and can thank Kendall’s younger sister Kylie for encouraging the new romance.
According to the source, Kylie frequently crossed paths with the Aussie actor, as both he and her beau, Timothée Chalamet, were hitting the same events on the awards season circuit.
“Kylie was around Jacob a lot during Timothée’s award season marathon because Jacob was nominated for Frankenstein and Timothée was nominated for Marty Supreme,’ they added.
The first dates reportedly took place at Kylie’s home and while Kendall and Jacob have known each other for years (dating as far back as 2022 when he attended her birthday bash), the two were reportedly reluctant to move forward in a romantic sense.
“Kylie is the alpha sister and pushed Kenny to start a romance with Jacob because she wanted to set up double dates with Timothee,“ the source told the publication.
“She thought it would be fun if she and Timothee and Kenny and Jacob all hung out together.”
Earlier this month, gossip site Deaumoi officially outed the pair with reports that they were spotted snogging at Justin Bieber’s Coachella after-party.
Several sources told the publication that the stars were seen enjoying Bieber’s set separately before things heated up.
Kendall was seen dancing along with close pal Hailey Bieber at the front of the star-studded crowd, while Jacob was enjoying the performance with pals using a baseball cap and sunnies as a disguise.
