Apple Korea leans into fan culture with MacBook Neo ‘NCT Edition’

Since its launch in March, MacBook Neo has generated buzz well beyond its product features – finding an unexpected connection with one of K-pop’s most passionate fan communities. Its eye-catching citrus bears a striking resemblance to NCT’s official fandom color, Neon Green, a detail that quickly caught the attention of fans and sparked a wave of playful online conversation.

Fans flooded social media with reactions like “An NCTzen/Czennie must be working at Apple,” amplifying the conversation organically. The excitement culminated in a fan-coined phrase – “Neo Got My Mac” – a witty play on NCT U’s track “Neo Got My Back,” which took on a life of its own across platforms.

Taking note of the fandom’s organic enthusiasm, Apple reimagined its existing MacBook Neo video – originally shared on its global TikTok channel – and released a playful ‘NCT edition’ through Apple Korea’s official channels.

The video retains the visual rhythm of the original, featuring fluid hand movements and a colorful lineup of MacBook Neo models synced to music, while incorporating new sonic and visual elements. At the moment when the citrus MacBook Neo takes center stage, the phrase “Neo Got My Mac” appears on screen – a nod to the fan-born meme, delivered with a touch of wit.
