The Tribunal handed down its verdict on Tuesday evening
Adelaide defender Rory Laird will miss Saturday’s clash with Collingwood after his one-match ban for rough conduct was upheld by the AFL Tribunal.
Laird was charged with rough conduct against West Coast forward Jamie Cripps during the third quarter of Sunday’s match at Optus Stadium.
The Match Review Officer graded the incident as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.
Laird and his legal counsel, Andrew Culshaw, argued the incident should not be considered rough conduct as his actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances.
