Ulises Studio turns milan’s palazzo into a clay-inspired landscape
Ooooh, that’s EpiQ! by Škoda Auto is an immersive, inflatable installation at Palazzo del Senato for Milan Design Week 2026, conceived by Spanish architect and digital artist Ricardo Orts of Ulises Studio. Described by its designer as ‘a playground not only for kids, but also for adults,’ this soft, colorful landscape unfolds as an all-day environment with yoga sessions, coffee, and a shifting atmosphere that transforms after dark through light. Rooted in the tactile logic of modeling clay, the installation translates Škoda’s design language into a participatory landscape where visitors are invited to explore, pause, and engage with the brand.
The vehicle showcase project expands into a layered environment where physical and digital elements blend. At its center sits the still-camouflaged Škoda Epiq alongside its sculptural counterpart, the EpiQ sculpt. Together, they anchor a scenography of oversized, brightly colored forms that echo hand-shaped clay, set against the baroque architecture of the courtyard.

Ooooh, that’s EpiQ!: a living playground by Škoda
The exhibition follows a sequence of zones. An open atrium hosts relaxation areas and informal gathering points, while a digital corner immerses visitors in LED-driven narratives around the Epiq and Škoda’s evolving identity. Elsewhere, an open auditorium and a family-oriented area extend the experience beyond display into participation. Even the brand’s Škoda Elroq is repurposed as a mobile café, folding hospitality into the installation’s logic.
Beyond the physical setup, the project operates as a narrative platform for the upcoming Epiq. The recurring slogan ‘Ooooh, that’s EpiQ!’ leans into a sense of discovery, aligning with the exhibition’s emphasis on curiosity and open-ended interaction. By situating itself within one of Milan’s most historic venues, Škoda’s installation softens the setting through color, tactility, and informal programming. Valencia-based Ulises Studio’s environment feels closer to a temporary playground than a conventional exhibition, where the boundaries between visitor, object, and environment remain deliberately loose.
