NBA analyst Kevin O’Connor raised concerns about Nikola Jokic playoff form after the Denver Nuggets fell behind 2-1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jokic’s shooting struggles and unusual play have become a major issue for Denver, with his performance being called the worst playoff stretch of his career.

Nikola Jokic is under pressure after another tough performance, as concerns grow about his level in the playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Following the Denver Nuggets 113-96 loss in Game 3, NBA analyst Kevin O’Connor highlighted Jokic’s struggles, especially his shooting.

“Nikola Jokic is now 5/24 from 3 in the series. Huge issue for Denver: Jokic shot 32% from 3 ever since his return from injury in January,” he wrote on X. “He was at 44% prior and 42% last year. No matter the cause of the huge decline, the end result is that the 3-pointer has abandoned him for months.”

The drop in shooting has made it easier for Minnesota to defend, with O’Connor pointing out how it affects the whole Nuggets offense.

“It’s hurting the Nuggets offense since the Timberwolves can sag off Jokic to clog the paint,” he added. “And Jokic isn’t making up for it since Rudy Gobert is also locking him down any time he’s inside and he’s making uncharacteristic sloppy passes. To make matters worse, he’s not getting stops on defense either.”

“Hard to feel any good about Denver’s chances unless Jokic stops having the worst playoff series of his career.”

Jokic has shot just 15-of-46 over the last two games and finished Game 3 with only three assists, far below his usual playmaking level.

Rudy Gobert has been a key factor, defending Jokic one-on-one and taking away his usual looks inside.

Denver is also missing Aaron Gordon, who was out in Game 3 with a calf injury, leaving a big hole on both ends.

Now down 2-1 in the series, the Nuggets need a strong response in Game 4, while Minnesota looks to move closer to closing the series.
