Nash was selected by the Blue Jackets with the No. 1 pick in the 2002 NHL Draft and played nine seasons with them, earning All-Rookie honors his first season and winning the Maurice Richard Trophy in his second year.

He played 1,060 games throughout his 15-year NHL career with three different teams: the Blue Jackets, New York Rangers and Boston Bruins.

Nash retired in 2018 and currently serves as director of player development for the Blue Jackets.
