Piastri: The mindset secrets of F1’s calmest driver (High Performance)
‘It’s hard to say now. I think there’s definitely some rule changes that are definitely a step in the right direction. I think some of the stuff around the kind of power you get from the boost button – I’ll be honest with you. There’s a lot of rules. I still need to actually look through and see what specifically that changes – so it’s still complex. With the engines we’ve got there’s always going to be a compromise somewhere. I think for me, the biggest thing has been the kind of coordination and collaboration between the drivers teams, F1 and the FIA, it’s been actually quite refreshing, I think for, especially some of the, the older guys to see the collaboration. But time will tell. I think there probably will need to be some further tweaks, how easy they are to implement this year, we don’t know. But I’m sure there’ll be some changes probably next year in the future, but it’s definitely going in the right direction. So hopefully we see that on show in Miami.’
BYD conferma: ‘Stiamo discutendo l’ingresso in Formula 1’ (SportMediaset – Italian)
‘Suggestions of a possible entry have been swirling in recent weeks, and now confirmation has come directly from Stella Li, vice president of BYD: ‘We met Stefano Domenicali (CEO of Formula 1, ed.) in Shanghai. We’re always close and in touch,’ she told SportMediaset exclusively. ‘I like Formula 1 because it’s about passion, culture, and people dream of being in Formula 1.’ When asked if joining the racing circuit is a concrete possibility, she replied without hesitation: ‘Yes, it’s something we’re discussing.”
Willi Weber nimmt Schumacher in Schutz (Express – German)
‘I’m speechless. I’m speechless. Why would he (Todt) say something like that? And especially in Michael (Schumacher’s) difficult situation… Anyone who knows Michael knows there was no malicious intent behind it. It was a tough but necessary manoeuvre to defend his position and, with it, the potential title.’
‘Colapinto-mania’ sweeps streets of Buenos Aires in historic Formula 1 show (Buenos Aires Times)
”Hopefully this show shows Formula 1 what we can generate and that we can have a Grand Prix in Argentina again,’ Colapinto said beforehand, drawing a roar from the crowd.’
Katherine Legge and ELF cosmetics set for Indianapolis 500 return (Foyt Racing)
‘Veteran driver Katherine Legge has been entered by HMD Motorsports with AJ Foyt Racing for the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 (Indy 500).’
