The film, which is currently untitled, will chart the life of John McCallum from his beginnings in the Borders to his rise to the top.

The documentary is currently being filmed by Dutch production company Awake to Create and has attracted interest from Amazon Prime and Netflix.

It will be the second film to follow McCallum’s life as a boxer, which follows on from the YouTube production The Last Fight.

This looked at his trip to Thailand and his experience as an earthquake struck Bangkok. He then went on to win a comeback fight in memory of his late father.

“The response has been incredible” McCallum said. “Thank you to everyone who’s supported the journey.

“I hope this inspires someone out there to never give up, no matter how many time life knocks you down.”

He will be competing in the WBC Cruiserweight Championship later this year and will also have another bout in Thailand for the WBC International title.

McCallum is also looking for potential fights against MMA and UFC fighters in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).

He does not have any plans to step away from the boxing ring, adding: “I’d also like to confirm that I have not retired from boxing, I remain fully committed, with a strong ambition to win a world title.

“My goal is to have a WBC belt around my waist by late 2026.”

He is also keen to team up with any Borders businesses, he can be contacted through his Instagram @johnmccallumjnr.
