The Melbourne Storm have given up a lot of line breaks in recent weeks.

It happened again at the start of this match.

Stephen Crichton appears to have injured his ankle, but he is continuing.

He took a run, and Cowboy Reed Mahoney came down on the back of Crichton’s legs.

However, it was not deemed to be a hip-drop action.

Crichton is continuing to play.

58′ Bulldogs blow a golden chance

There was a kick to the goal-line from Matt Burton, but the ball hit the post.

The ball comes back into the field of play.

The Bulldogs get the ball, and it is passed to Jonathan Sua.

The Bulldogs have a two-on-one overlap on the left, and Sua just needs to draw in Cowboys defender Braidon Burns, then pass to the wing.

But Sua holds onto the ball, and drops it when trying to make the offload.

Great tackle from Burns and the Bulldogs miss a golden chance.

53′ TRY: Josh Curran scores for the Bulldogs

The Bulldogs have the first try of this second half.

A kick from Lachlan Galvin was dripped by Cowboys winger Zac Laybutt.

The dropped ball lands in the lap of Josh Curran, who strolls over the goal-line untouched.

The Cowboys will be kicking themselves. They were unable to score at the other end when they had a great chance. An unnecessary penalty for lying in the ruck gave the Bulldogs the chance to get into an attacking position.

Stephen Crichton kicks the goal to level the scores.

Nanai is in plenty of pain.

He slipped over while trying to tackle Bulldogs captain Stephen Crichton, and his right arm was forced back in the contact, causing the injury.

Nanai has only recently returned from injury.

Wests Tigers have received a major boost for life after Jarome Luai, securing the long-term futures of brothers Terrell May and Taylan May.

In the week Luai agreed to join the PNG Chiefs for the start of the 2028 season, the May brothers have confirmed they will remain at Concord until 2030.

Prop Terrell and centre Taylan were both free to entertain offers from the Chiefs when they entered the final 12 months of their existing deals on November 1.

The pair have both signed three-year deals, announcing their decision to stay loyal to Benji Marshall.

“We’re so happy to have Terrell and Taylan locked in with us long term,” Marshall said.

“They both bring so many things on and off the field to our club. I love who they are and what they stand for.

“What’s clear with both boys is they are ‘all in’ and committed to where we are heading as a club and are both integral parts of our team.”

HT: Cowboys 12 leading Bulldogs 6

The North Queensland Cowboys have overcome a sluggish start to take a 12-6 lead at half-time.

The Bulldogs have had plenty of chances at the Cowboys’ goal-line, but the home side is struggling to mount any sort of threatening attack.

36′ Kurt Mann off for HIA

Bulldogs interchange Kurt Mann has been taken off for a HIA, and I would be surprised if he was allowed to return.

Mann was attempting to tackle Cowboy Matt Lodge.

Lodge’s ball-carrying elbow appears to have hit Mann.

Mann was forced back from that contact and into the shoulder of teammate Sitili Tupouniua. Tupouniua’s shoulder hit the back of Mann’s head.
