The Australian Institute of Architects has announced the winners of the Greater Brisbane Architecture Awards for 2026.
Two projects received three titles each. The first, Inala Infill Apartments by Baber Studio, is a low-rise, medium-density social housing project consisting of 14 dwellings, constructed from mass timber. The other, Plant Futures Facility by M3 Architecture, a new University of Queensland facility designed to support the pursuit of sustainable ecosystems and innovation in plant science, was also awarded the prestigious John Dalton Award for Building of the Year.
All commended projects will be shortlisted for the Institute’s Queensland Architecture Awards, to be announced on 26 June at Brisbane City Hall.
