Road freight transport’s most high-profile mental health and wellbeing advocates are gearing up to have their message heard loud and clear during Truck Week 2026.
Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds (Healthy Heads) have a coast-to-coast program planned for the nationwide event from May 11-18.
In Western Australia, Healthy Heads’ outreach vehicle, its DAF LF “Roadie”, will be deployed across key partner sites and truck stops, offering free health checks and wellbeing conversations for drivers.
These events are designed to provide practical, accessible support in environments where drivers feel comfortable, while also breaking down barriers to seeking help.
At the same time, on the east coast, the iconic Kenworth “Kenny” will lead a packed schedule of engagements aligned with key industry events and advocacy opportunities.
Kenny’s journey will include:
Supporting R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds Day activations at Ampol sites on May 12.
A visit to Parliament House during Budget Week to advocate for increased investment in mental health support for the industry on May 13.
Participation in a Drive Day in Torquay in partnership with Knorr-Bremse on May 14.
An on-site activation at the Ettamogah Rail Hub with WHG, engaging directly with drivers and logistics workers on May 15.
Visits to BP roadhouses to connect with drivers on the ground – May 16-17.
A final stop in the Hunter Valley for the Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia’s TruckShowX, one of the industry’s premier events, May 17-20.
Healthy Heads CEO Naomi Frauenfelder said Truck Week provides a unique platform to amplify the organisation’s impact.
“I am proud of the national coverage Healthy Heads delivers, from east to west coast, and Truck Week is the perfect opportunity for our team to be on the road in support of industry,” Frauenfelder said.
“By meeting people where they are, we can have real conversations, provide practical support, and continue to build awareness of the importance of mental health across our sector.”
