Twas the night before The Met Gala and all through New York, celebrities scrambled to get to the Bezos’ pre-event party!
Anyone who’s anyone showed up at the pre-Met gala party hosted by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, who are the main donors for this year’s costume institute fundraiser.
While tomorrows event will feature massive ballgowns and dramatic looks, the looks at the pre-event party were more ‘night out on the town’ vibes, with one trend emerging: the sheer mesh dress.

Brooks Nader, who was in Sydney just days ago, hopped on a plane to make it to New York in time for the event.
She wore a black sheer lace dress, which featured panels of black silk.
The dress featured a deep V-neck, pulling into a halter style at the back.
The look was almost completely sheer from the front, with the back offering slightly more coverage.

Nader was not the only one who opted for a sheer look.

The gown also featured a deep V-neck, which was complimented by a massive emerald drop necklace.
The bottom of her gown brought the drama, with black and white pompoms attached to a mermaid skirt.

Fiancee of Cristiano Ronaldo, Georgina Rodríguez, also played into the semi-sheer trend, wearing a black mesh skirt and opaque satin top.
She carried a rare Hermés Himalayan Birkin Bag, which is estimated to be worth up to $450,000.
The bag usually features white gold hardware with a diamond-encrusted surface.

Former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna brough the drama with a mesh and silk dress.
The look featured a completely mesh top, with dragon-like designs over the chest.
Red feathers flared from the sleeves, adding some extra theatrics to the gown.

Nicky Hilton opted for a black mini dress.
The dress featured an open back and cut outs on the side.

At the same time across the city, Co-Chair of this years Met Gala Teyana Taylor hosted her own pre-Met party.
Naomi Watts was in attendance.
Her sparkly pink dress peaked out from underneath her coat as she entered the party, which was rumoured to be Burlesque themed.

Russian model Irina Shayk attended Taylor’s party, opting for a little black dress.
