A woman has been found dead in a park on Queensland’s Fraser Coast, with police declaring a major crime scene.
Emergency services were called to Pines Park on the Esplanade at Pialba, in Hervey Bay, about 10.20am on Friday after a local worker discovered the body.
Hervey Bay detectives are investigating the woman’s sudden death.

“A crime scene has been declared while investigations are conducted at the scene,” they said.
Forensic officers were seen examining the area as investigations continue.
The discovery comes just days after a suspected human bone was uncovered during excavations at the nearby Pialba Caravan Park.
