Malthe Jakobsen ended Peugeot’s four-year wait for a World Endurance Championship pole position by taking top spot on the grid for the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
Jakobsen, who will be partnered by Loic Duval and Theo Pourchaire in the #94 Peugeot 9X8, pipped the #12 Jota Cadillac, driven by Will Stevens, by just 0.043s, with the #35 Alpine a further 0.035s adrift in a tightly contested qualifying.
In the LMGT3 class, the Lexus of the Akkodis ASP Team, with Hadrien David at the wheel, comfortably led the way by two-tenths of a second ahead of the Heart of Racing’s Aston Martin, driven by Zacharie Robichon.
