Division leading Guardians look to extend season-longest winning streak as series against the Twins continues

Winners of six of their last nine games, the Cleveland Guardians return home to Progressive Field on Saturday evening as they play host to the Minnesota Twins looking for their fourth-consecutive victory and their third straight home win. The Twins dropped two of three at Washington mid-week and have now lost three games in a row heading into today having allowed six or more runs in each of the last three outings. Cleveland will send Tanner Bibee (0-5, 4.58 ERA), who has posted 10 or more wins in each of the last three seasons, to the mound looking for his first win of 2026 and hoping for some run support as the Guardians have scored just two runs over his last three starts.

Lee, now in his third season in Minnesota, had a breakout season in 2025 posting career highs in hits, doubles, home runs and RBIs and is on pace for his second-straight 100-hit season.

Minnesota will start veteran righty Joe Ryan (2-3, 3.72 ERA) who is winless in his last four outings and lasted only 1/3 of an inning in his last start, leaving with elbow soreness but avoided any structural damage and threw a bullpen session on Tuesday without issue.
