The Blues would like to thank Angus Ta’avao for his outstanding contribution to the club, following confirmation he will join the Highlanders for the 2026 season.
A versatile prop, Ta’avao made his Super Rugby debut for the Blues in 2012 before stints with the Waratahs and Chiefs.
He returned to Auckland in 2024 and played a key role in the Blues’ championship-winning season, featuring in every match and bringing up his 50th Blues appearance.
A 23-Test All Black, Ta’avao has proven his durability on field and created a positive presence in the squad and with fans.
The Blues wish Gus and his family all the best for the next chapter.
