This Sunday, we take on the GWS Giants in Sir Doug Nicholls Round, as we celebrate and recognise the contribution of First Nations people to the game and the wider community.
During Sir Doug Nicholls Round, across round 10 and 11 of the 2026 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, we will feature the Noongar language translation of the West Coast Eagles – Waalitj Marawar, meaning ‘Eagles of the West’.
We will be wearing our Waalitj Marawar First Nations guernsey, designed by Andrew Beck (Ngadju Mirning Wudjari). Andrew has drawn on story, symbolism and the club’s history to create a guernsey rich in meaning.

First Nations Gift Exchange
A First Nations gift exchange will occur pre-match. We will present GWS Giants with blue and yellow canvas and tapping sticks, painted by Noongar artist Richard Kickett. In Noongar culture, dot painting is a sacred way to share connection to Country.
The connection to the river is reflected through different shades of blue, representing the waters that pass through Whadjuk Boodja (Country), while the yellow dots symbolise the warmth, light, and life-giving power of the sun.
Head to the Fan Zone on the western concourse on Level 1 (inside Gate D) from 2.45pm:
Waalitj Moort market – purchase themed homewares and handmade accessories from First Nations Artisanal stalls (open until the end of half-time).
Waalitj Foundation display – dot painting, animal cut-outs (crafts) & merchandise giveaways

Flu Vaccination Clinic – Eastern Atrium
A free Flu Vaccination Clinic will be available this match day, provided by the Department of Health. The clinic will be located in the Eastern Atrium inside Gates A and B – arrive early to avoid delays.
Curtin raiser
Arrive early and watch our Deadly Sista Girlz curtain raiser. Entry for the curtain raiser is via Gate C from 2.00pm. Please note, all patrons must hold a valid ticket to the Waalitj Marawar v GWS Giants match to enter Optus Stadium for the curtain raiser.

Membership support on match day
The West Coast Eagles Membership Services team will be available at box offices B, C, and E on match days to assist with any questions. If you anticipate needing help with your tickets, we encourage you to arrive early to avoid delays.
There is no reason to miss a match due to a ticketing issue!
Please note that our phone lines are not staffed on weekends; however, we will monitor emails leading into match day and respond to any time-sensitive queries.
Public Transport is included in the cost of your match day ticket, with free travel on Perth’s buses and trains three hours either side of the match. If asked, please show your ticket to the driver or inspector.

Changes to pedestrian access
Due to the development of Perth Park, Perth’s premier entertainment and sporting precinct, the pedestrian path connecting Optus Stadium and Crown Perth through the park will be closed.
Pedestrian access to and from the stadium is via the Camfield Drive path, Riverside path or Victoria Park Drive path.
Gates will open at 2:45pm this match day. Gate C will open at 2:00pm for curtain raiser entry.
We recommend arriving early to avoid delays.
Reporting inappropriate behaviour
To report inappropriate or anti-social behaviour at Optus Stadium during an event, text the specific details (issue and location/seat number) to the Patron Assistant number at 0409 317 771.
Alternatively, report the incident immediately to stadium staff, security personnel, or the police.
